See Jane Do is ecstatic to announce we will return for the second year as the host of SYRCL's (South Yuba River Citizen's League) Wild & Scenic Film Festival's Media Lounge, January 14-16, 2011.
Each year, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival draws top filmmakers, celebrities, leading activists, social innovators and well-known world adventurers to the historic downtown of Nevada City, California.
Considered the largest film festival of its kind, this year's films combine stellar filmmaking, beautiful cinematography and first-rate storytelling to inform, inspire and ignite solutions and possibilities to restore the earth and human communities while creating a positive future for the next generation. Festival-goers can expect to see award-winning films about nature, community activism, adventure, conservation, water, energy and climate change, wildlife, environmental justice, agriculture, Native American and indigenous cultures.
Last year's Media Lounge was all a-buzz with live interviews with special guests Sir Patrick Stewart and filmmaker Seth Warren, Colin Beavan from No Impact Man, May Boeve from 350.org, National Geographic Explorer Jon Bowermaster, activist Tim DeChristopher, Free Range Studios Erica Priggen, Dr. Kevin Danaher co-founder of Global Exchange, urban homesteaders the Dervaes Family and other activists, filmmakers and special guests.
The Media Lounge, will be the hub of all communications and THE place for up-to-date information, photos, videos and exclusive interviews with guest filmmakers, activists, and festival organizers. Filmmakers, members of the press, and festival-goers are all invited to enjoy free wi-fi and a comfortable setting to meet, connect, and network, plus check email, write a quick blog, upload photos, update Facebook status and Tweet.
Go behind the scene with See Jane Do for exclusive interviews with these and other award-winning filmmakers, environmental activists, and film festival organizers. Hear the stories that inspired this year's selection of environmental and adventure films.
